YOU, Our Buffalo Herd

Today was like Christmas!  We spent the late afternoon gathered in a living room in Dar Es Salaam, soaking up love sent from friends at home.  The five of us took turns reading notes from friends out loud, sharing photos and hand-drawn pictures, laughing, sighing, and yes, even a little crying (S).  We put on silly socks, matching jerseys and crazy shoelaces, and then we contemplated opening a Starbuck’s Via black market.

Before opening the boxes, we huddled around the laptop to watch a video we were reminded of by the pastor of the church we attended this morning.   You may have seen The Battle at Kruger before, but it is worth watching again.

Ok, so ours was not a life or death struggle…but still, we are keenly aware of the power of community and the value of friendship.

THANK YOU to our buffalo herd — for coming back to get us.
