Thank you Howards

You know that song, “Make new friends, but keep the old…one is silver and the other gold?” I think a new line should be added — “And get to know the old ones better!”

We ate our way through a wonderful 2 nights with the Howard family in Brussels with a full day of famous Brussels
gastronomic landmarks — from the namesake Belgian waffles to the best frites stand in town to the chocolatier of the king.  But even sweeter than these delicacies was the constant conversation with these friends from home, which was thoughtful, engaging, genuine, encouraging.

I’m not sure the boys would use those same words to describe their constant wrestling match, but they were as sad as we were that we did not have more time there. The constant motion may explain why we have no group picture of us all…

Thank you Howards for sharing your home, time, faith, and legos.
