Generosity
As we left the Brittany region of France this morning, we said goodbye to our new friends Rebecca and David. You will find them in the dictionary under Generosity. We are grateful to have been in their company and under their roof!
They graced us with an early morning serenade of a French benediction before we pulled away, even before coffee — a true gift.
Just watched the Queen’s jubilee at St. Paul’s on UTube. Your friends must be the ones he was referring to when he said the way God wants us to live is to have “a willingness to be made happy by the well-being of others.” BTW. You all are delighting others with your sharing your adventures. So fun!
Oh, the” he” in the above post is Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.
Debbie, apologies for this being a very late reaction to your post. Your comment is, to us, a very real encouragement – just as the Wildman visit was! Many, if not most, of our guests are tired and needy, so it is always a real pleasure to see energy (including the whole family doing jobs around our garden!). As a Welshman though, the icing on the cake was the origin of the comment (even though I had hoped he would be a rather different Archbishop!).
