Under Armour Generosity
Largely because of our boys’ fascination with lacrosse and all the associated gear, they have developed an intense fondness for anything with an Under Armour logo. Truly, anything: stickers, shirts, shorts, socks, shoes, and on and on and on.
You’ll recall that we were robbed last fall while in Spain. Stolen items included a few cherished Under Armour things that our boys had brought with them for our year-long journey.
After the robbery, a friend noticed how many blog photos featured Under Armour-ed boys … and wrote to the Under Armour company on our behalf. It’s a long-ish and wonderful story of what happened next, but the short version: the company responded, we corresponded … and a giant Under Armour box was waiting for us when we arrived in Thailand.
So we’re so grateful for the Under Armour company. We’re grateful for Under Armour’s Kevin who made it happen. We’re grateful for our friend who wrote the original email. We’re grateful for the deep bonds of community that surrounded us so quickly and so deeply when we were hit so hard in Spain.
And we’re grateful that this experience has affirmed for us once more that there is real Generosity in our crazy world.
