Scenes from Home
A smattering of photos from our life here in Dordogne Valley — from our laundry rack to World School to wooded walks to a nearby Chateau. Click on any one image … and a larger gallery appears.
- Laundry … with reading boys in the background.
- S and the boys read through several dozen flyers to pick the best canoe outfitter for our journey down the Dordogne River.
- A peaceful scene during a recent, reflective morning walk.
- W during a sketching block for World School.
- Following dinner in Domme, the boys sit where sentries once protected the city.
- An evening walk to a local Dordogne hamlet between two hay fields. Quite possibly the most serene walking path we’ve seen so far.
- The boys watching rhythmic gymnastics qualifying rounds … on French television.
- This hay field functions as our front yard. Our current home is on the right … and a Dordogne chateau is in the center of the photo, in the distance.
We love you guys and hope you’re having a fantastic time! The Dordogne River valley is one of our very favorite places! Reading this post last night reminded us how much we loved canoeing down the river with our kids. We took them kayaking on the Potomac today in your honor :-)
